North of La Canourgue and Saint-Germain du Teil and south of Nasbinals, from the Col de Bonnecombe to the village of Nasbinals, you can take one of the most beautiful roads in Lozère: the Route des Lacs, also known as the Route d’Argent, in reference to the silvery reflections of the water.
This exceptional route stretches over 17 kilometers. You’ll discover the four Aubrac lakes – Lac des Salhiens, Lac de Souveyrols, Lac de Saint-Andéol and Lac de Born – of glacial origin, culminating at an altitude of over 1000 metres.
At the end of this route, you’ll come to the sublime Cascade du Déroc, where an impressive 30-metre waterfall hides a grotto of basalt organs.
