Discover the villages at the heart of the Gorges du Tarn
Between cliffs and river
As you drive along the river, you’ll come across a number of enchanting villages nestling in the heart of the cliffs: Les Vignes, La Malène , Saint-Chély-du-Tarn , Sainte-Enimie (classified as one of France’s “Most Beautiful Villages”) and Ispagnac, not far from Florac. Their little streets come alive in fine weather to welcome you and offer a wide range of entertainment, services and leisure activities. These villages are the starting points for numerous canoe bases and hiking trails.
The villages on the Gorges’ ledges are not to be outdone: sometimes veritable ” Sublime Points “, they offer breathtaking views, as well as top-quality services and accommodation, and entertainment in fine weather.
Certain hamlets in the Gorges, sometimes only accessible by boat or via steep paths, offer unusual discoveries. Hauterives, Castelbouc, La Sablière… each has its own special charm.
