Local breads and flours

Powdered gold from the Méjean region

Several types of flour are produced locally, at the Moulin de la Borie on the Causse Méjean, using a variety of cereals, particularly ancient ones, grown on the land of Grands Causses farmers. These flours enable local bakers to produce 100% local breads.

Allaboutlocal flour

The Moulin à Vent de la Borie is first and foremost the reconstruction of a ruined heritage. The inhabitants of the village, the Commune of Hures-la-Parade and the Association Farine du Méjean have joined forces to bring the mill back to life.

Flour from the mill

This mill produces flours with a distinctive taste and superior quality: ancient wheat, petit épeautre, grand épeautre, lentils, rye, buckwheat, blé bise… a range of flours ideal for making generous, gourmet recipes.
