With its numerous circuits in the heart of Lozère, our region is renowned for its mountain biking. The FFC VTT de l’Aubrac aux Gorges du Tarn site offers 12 mountain bike circuits and 2 downhill (enduro) circuits through the Grands Causses, the Lot Valley, the Gorges du Tarn andAubrac. Number of kilometers, altitude difference, technicality… It’s up to you to choose according to your level and your desires! In Lozère, mountain bike trails are hilly. Electrically-assisted mountain bikes aretheideal alternative. There are a number of local electric and muscle bike rental companies and guides, so don’t hesitate to contact them for more information.

Practical information on

mountain bike trails

MTB markings are represented by two circles and a triangle on top. The markings are generally yellow, or brown in nature parks. On each of these markers is the circuit number. The background color of the number indicates its difficulty:

  • Green = easy
  • Blue = medium
  • Red = difficult
  • Black = reserved for professionals
