Vacation villages

Discover the beauty of the villages of Aubrac: whatever the villages and hamlets we visit, our Aubrac escapades have a taste of tradition and the rediscovered past. This plateau is a land where past and present merge for an authentic and singular experience. To the south of Aubrac, in the Lozère region, discover the villages of Aubrac and the Aubrac foothills: Les Hermaux, Les Salces, Saint-Pierre de Nogaret, Trélans… All still possess the charm of the villages of yesteryear. These hamlets and villages have managed to combine past and present, and Aubrac cow breeders rub shoulders with newcomers and transients with enthusiasm. Saint-Germain-du-Teil is home to many of the shops and services you need for everyday life.

Preserved traditions

But there are some things that don’t change between then and now: you can still hear the church bell tinkling at regular intervals, the same one that watched over its parishioners centuries ago. You can still admire, as in Plagnes (access refused), the traces left to us by the monks of the Domerie d’Aubrac when, in the Middle Ages, they reigned as masters and protectors over the territory. The villages ofAubrac, Saint-Chély d’Aubrac and Nasbinals have seen pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela for many centuries, and the world-renowned Laguiole knives are still made in the village of Laguiole.
